I don’t think so. I think that the back is very pretty!

I don’t think it’s too revealing at all, but if your friend still has concerns, she could consider a lace or mesh insert to make her back less “bare”…

I would ask someone in the church who’s opinion you trust. A friend of mine married in a Methodist church and her Mother-In-Law told her that strapless bridesmaids dresses were too revieling (they we’re really quite covered othewise).

If you love the dress you could consider filling the hole in with a mesh or lace?

Its lovely!

she has to ask the person who’s marrying them what the requirements are.

I don’t think so at all. it is more revealing than most gowns but it’s beautiful. i understand your friends concern, about being in the church, she can always add a bolero or shawl for the ceremony and take it off for the reception.

If the church allows your shoulders and that much of your chest showing, then I really doubt the back would cause a problem. I agree that if you are worried about it then you should ask whomever is marrying you.

Disclaimer to avoid drama: I personally don’t think there is a lot of chest showing or that showing your shoulder is unacceptable (I will be wearing a strapless dress), but I know some churches require everything covered
