That is an awful time for class. Ew.

I am rounding out my first week as well. My 3 hr/day commute kind of sucks, which I expected but at least it’s only three days a week. The rough part is that I get home late Wednesday and have to be back early Thursday; I might see if anyone will let me stay over just that one night since I need literally just a couch to sleep on and the kindness of a shower or at least teeth brushing in the morning! I have a stats class that actually has tests, which I am pretty excited about. I have two seminars with standard term paper/research proposal requirements. Both of these classes already have that one person I wish would just stop talking and not comment after every single thing the professor says, but who knows, maybe it was just first day jitters causing chattiness? I hope it levels out.

I start teaching next week (different university), for which I am nervous but excited. It’s a 101 type course one night a week for three hours, and I’m nervous I’ll be boring or go too short or too long. It’s my first time teaching on my own!

I want to drop band soooo badly but I have a commitment for the year and my SL would kill me (I have 2 other classes with her and we’re possibly going to the same grad school next year)

On the upside my profs are really understanding this year, all have excused me from class to go to DH’s grandfather’s funeral on Tuesday (including missing the big late night reherseal for band Monday night)

Oh and I managed to fail my first quiz (as did the rest of the class Innocent )

School starts for me in two weeks and I’m already stressed out! It turns out that the classes for my major and minor have conflicting times so I won’t be able to get enough credits to graduate on time with a minor. I really want to go to teacher’s college after so I don’t want to delay that by going back for an exra year to keep my minor. It’s just so frustrating! Me not being able to graduate with a minor also will negatively impact the grades/classes I’ll be able to take ๐Ÿ™

@sugarpea: Could you do independant study for the classes? I have friends who have done that when band conflicts with everything else

Bummer. I just graduated but my Darling Husband is still in school. When I hang out with our friends I get sad. I would give anything to be in school right now ๐Ÿ™‚

Im going into my last year of university ๐Ÿ™‚ My school starts late this year, it doesnt start till the 12th. Our book list was recently put online though, so i jumped onto amazon and got the majority of my textbooks (all except for two of them) at a majorly reduced price…i seriously paid 1cent for one of them ๐Ÿ˜› plus shipping but shipping was included cause i purchased several other things from that seller. So now im just waiting for them to ship. Im super excited about some of my courses though so thats good. Any of you have courses your really looking foward to?

I go back on Friday… I know, who starts school on Friday? I have no idea how that happened. I’m in my second year, and I’m still trying to decide before class starts if I want to major in history and graduate in two more years, or do a history/biology double major and graduate in 3… it’s so expensive for the extra year and I hate chem and physics but I have no idea what to do with a history degree! Add the stress of moving & making our relationship long distance and wedding planning and I’m already wishing for Christmas! D:

My last year started this week. Thank goodness it’s the last year, because I’ve already felt near tears (doesn’t help that it’s almost my TOM). What a way to usher in the last year. Ugh! I think once my schedule is set and my routine becomes familiar it won’t be so bad, but right now I’m just stressing.

@mrschristmas: can I say how excited I was to get all of my texts for around 75 for my second to last semester? I already owned 4 of them Cool

Next semester should be even better- 6-9 credits, and most of them will be  books for prof who almost never chooses the latest edition

@Knubbsy-Wubbsy: thats awesome! i found on some it was only a $20 difference but then on the cheaper ones you could get them for next to nothing, love it!

Let’s see… classes(full-time) started last week, I start back at my seasonal job ~30 hours a week – this week, and our wedding, that I am coordinating 99% on my own, is in 14 days. I’m about to pull my hair out.

My professors and boss are being really understanding, but that doesn’t mean that I still don’t have to get the work done ahead of time.
