Just want to share my excitement about going to see the Backstreet Boys tonight at Jones Beach. I was actually able to score pretty awesome seats at the last minutes. Just texted my husband, who responded with “Don’t even tell me how much it cost.” Oh well… It’s funny because he has never questioned how much I spent on the New Kids on the Block. Anyway, I really hope it stops raining…..

@Westitude: lucky you!!! they were here last wednesday, but I didn’t get tickets (got last minute tickets to Drake last Monday, so I didn’t think doing that twice in one week was a financially sound idea). Backstreet Boys were (and still are) my favourite boy band. I saw them two times back in the day and it was a great show!! Enjoy!!!!

I’m going next month! Childhood dreams, here I come 😀

I’m completely jealous. Have fun!
They were my first concert when I was little! Milennium tour! haha.
They are coming to my city in a week or two, but on a damn Thursday night, and I have to be at work at 7:20 the next day. -_- My best friend and I were *not* pleased, as we’re both teachers and can’t exactly take the day off, even if it IS for BSB.
On another note, Darling Husband was saying they were in their 40s, which I was like NO they aren’t, they can’t be! We were both sort of right, as only one of them is, but seriously? Kevin is 41. That makes me feel old.

@AmeliaBedelia: I feel old too. I’m primarily an NKOTB fan and they are ALL in their 40’s.

@Westitude: I went to a concert way back in the day (I’m nearly 26 now). I bet everyone at the concert will be in that age group rather than the teeny boopers they once drew, lol. We are all growed up!

SO jealous! I looooove them! Backstreet’s back, alright! Have fun 🙂

I’m going next week! (A friend had an extra ticket.) I never saw them live as a teen, so i think it’ll be fun.
@Westitude: Ugh, it’s a bit depressing. For the record: Kevin is the oldest at 41, Nick is the youngest at 33.
Their concert was really good from what my 11 year old self remembers, haha.

I’m so jealous! I want to see them again! I told that to my husband in front of my 11 year old sister and she was making fun of me. I just looked at her and said ‘you have no room to talk… you listen to Justin Beiber and One Direction,’ lol. No one messes with my BSB. 🙂

Update: The show was awesome!!!! I would recommend it to anyone. My husband also had a good time even though he was a skeptic. At first he was like “Oh they are not the New Kids..It’s not going to be as fun” (I had completely sold him on NKOTB, he loves them now), but we had so much fun last night. These guys can sing their butts off! And Brian had his little boy came out and sang a couple of songs before the show start. So cute!

@Westitude: I went on Monday, it was basically the most awesome night of my life! It was my first time seeing them, so I had pretty much been waiting 15 years for that concert! I’m still so excited about it, I felt like a little fan girl (I’m 25)! The show was amazing, and I love that they brought out instruments!
And we’re definitely the target age group…basically girls age 20-30!
I went with a good friend of mine who is also a big fan, so it was waaay better than having Fiance go! We had a really awesome time!
also, so jealous that Brian brought his son out!!
