This is nuts, everything about this is crazy.
I’m a planner, he’s spontaneous.
So we decided to get married. Then he asked if we could have a courthouse ceremony before the real ceremony for legal purposes. All the while, he was deployed.
Now he’s home. He said we’d get married last week or this week. Then he told me he bought the ring this week and it will be ready next week.
So, we’re sitting in the living room watching TV and filling out the marriage license form–and he says, on our way for these errands, do you want to just drop this off and get married now?
Seriously. But then he realized that was crazy–only after first convincing. Next week it is, but now I am all mixed up. Also we will be married before he “proposes” (with a ring). I’m starting to feel a little insane.
Help me get my bearings straight, I’m so out of sorts.
Edit: And yet, except for how stressful this part is–he is wonderful for me and we are great together in almost every way. I do want to marry him, I just wish I could plan it. And I wish it would be a little more traditional!
