Rent port a potties unless they need new carpet.   Personally, I fell it best to keep the guests outside of the home.

I recently went to a backyard wedding, everyone used the toilets inside the house and it was fine.  I went later in the evening and nobody had trashed anything or done anything stupid.  There was no dance floor and only the couple danced.  There was no tent, but I’ve been to another backyard wedding where only a quarter of the yard was tented (where the food was).

To me, it only makes sense to do a backyard wedding if you keep it casual and lowkey.  Add in a tent, chairs for every person, portable toilets, waitstaff, fine china, napkins for everyone, you might as well pay for an indoor venue that is less dependent on the weather.

I would rent porta potties.. I know they aren’t the classiest of things, but you can decorate them up to look a little better.

I’d be worried about 100+ people venturing into your parents house.. I know they are family but every family has a couple of people who like to take things, or damage things.

Here’s some ideas how you can pretty them up!

Or.. if it’s in your budget, there are porta potty trailers that are actually really nice inside!
