I think light blue linen pants and a white shirt would match your dress nicely and suit the vibe 🙂 or light beige pants

I’d go with khakis and a blue shirt – I would not worry about the blue being the same as on your dress, however, just find something complementary that looks good on him.  My husband and the guys did khakis and a navy (or at least blue) button down and they all looked great.  Very much disagree with light blue pants suggestion above – I personally would find that ridiculous, Easter-ish and just not that great looking (though I’m not into light blues anyway)

I would suggest a linen suit, or a seersucker jacket . He would look a bit dressed up, unlike just khakis and a shirt, but not overdressed for your dress.

What does he want?

My vote would be light grey slacks with a vest. I find that grey ages better than khaki in photos.
