I second the suggestion above of having plenty of lube and patience. I wouldn’t look up too many horror stories online — you can probably find lots of them, as well as stories about people who have only tried once and didn’t like it, or people who don’t ever want to try it out. It’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, but I think it’s worth trying, at least, if you / your partner is curious. Just make sure you have 1) a partner who is respectful and patient, 2) patience, and 3) lots of lube. You could also ask your partner to use a finger or a small toy first, too.

I kind of feel like Dr. Sue, haha.

I wouldn’t be opposed to trying it, but Fiance is not into it at all. He’s very traditional. I’ve only heard of a handful of women even slightly enjoying it, so I don’t mind that Fiance isn’t into it.

@Unicorn: totally said everything I was thinking! Patience and lots of lube seem to be the way to go! And be honest with your partner if something is painful or not feeling right, you can always try again some other time. I find I have to be really in the mood to do it. For me, sometimes there is a little pain at first, but if I just relax and get past it, it will start to feel really good.

@Joeydoodle Ahahaha. No small cars!

@Chiotilidieo I think that if you worry too much about something bad happening, you’re probably going to be way too tense and stressed out and it won’t be fun at all. As long as you’re relaxed, taking it slow, and have plenty of lube, you’ll be fine and nothing bad will happen. Maybe ask your partner to ask you sweetly to relax whenever he feels you tense up? Good luck!

My ex and I were once in a really awkward position where his penis actually slipped out and when he thrust again, it went into the wrong hole. No lie. I jumped up and asked “WTF?” He apologized and we went on lol. Not something I’d like to experience again.
