(Closed) Bad Experience! (kinda long)

I had a few awful experiences at David’s Bridal and one fantastic one during the process of getting my wedding gown, the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses for my wedding and the Bridesmaid or Best Man dress for my sister’s wedding. Usually the consultants are much less helpful for the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I’ve never had any Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses pulled for me.

Unfortunately David’s Bridal has a huge selection of wedding dresses in the lower price range, and they have a huge selection onf Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses in just about every color, so they are able to get away with not having the best customer service. I was SO angry that the worst of all the consultants got the commission for my wedding dress, when she was so rude, as opposed to the consultant who helped me try it on again when I went to order it. She was so helpful and nice. It’s really hit or miss. But I would be vocal about your experience and ask for more help until you get it from someone at the store. They really should be striving for better service.

The way she treated you is not okay, regardless of how many people she was trying to help. However, at David’s they are almost always bouncing between two appointments. You only get a consultant to yourself if the store isn’t busy. That’s their policy.

I would have told the manager she doesn’t deserve any commission for the horrible service she offered you.

I had one good and two bad experiences. The sad part is one of the bad is when I went there to try on wedding dresses. A bridesmaid with me had to help zip me up and out of dresses because the consultant wasn’t around. I even had my Bridesmaid or Best Man go pull more dress for me to try otherwise I would have been waiting. I can honestly say that I’ve had to pull dresses everytime I’ve tried anything on at Davids. The service is lacking to say the least. I love the store I got my wedding dress from because of the personal service.

Booooooo!! I’m sorry that happened and sounds very similar to the experience I had when I went shopping for my wedding gown.

I am a Bridesmaid or Best Man for a friend in March and DB seems to be one of the few Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses that have the exact color she is looking for. Ugh….I hopeful I can find a dress elsewhere. I don’t even want to deal with DB again.

I also had 2 bad and one goos experiance with them the first 2 times I was complety ignored… not asked if I needed help or even a hello when I walked in the door! The third time I came in I was greeted and they managed to fit me in for an appointment right away. The sales lady was awesome and very helpful even though she was bouncing between 2 appointments! So I think it just deppends on who you end up getting… but sadly more often it’s not the greatest sales people.

When I was a bridesmaid in my sister’s wedding, they made this huge deal about how I would have to order a two and get it taken in. So they do all the measuring and everything and when my dress comes in it is a size 22. They then told me it was my fault and would have to figure out how to alter the dress down! Um, no. So after talking to the store manager, I finally got them to order the right size.

I found that with DB they overbook appointments and so the people get stressed and pissy.  We had one bad experience and from then on made the appointments for the second that store opened that day for business.  Appointments every where run later as the day goes on.

It would piss me off to no end to know that chick was getting a commission.
