Okay! So, is it strange to do things a little backwards? Is it a bad idea? I found the place I want my reception to be, it’s everything I need and even what I wanted. It’s a cute place. It’s $26 a person, but everythings included, food, drinks, service, tables linens, chairs, all at no extra cost. I’m having a small wedding, like 50 or less people, so the cost for all of that in my opinion seems extremely reasonable. I want to go out and book it RIGHT NOW! But, I don’t have a ceremony location as of right now. I have been in contact with a place I like, they have my date available (which I may be putting it back another week or two in order to get the reception hall also. they had some one interested but with no deposit yet for the 6th, but she has to honor them first by asking if they still want the place before me.) But so far both places have the same dates, they are very close (6 minutes from each other, 20 minutes for guests to travel for both families and friends). It seems too good to be true, I am certainly in love with the reception spot, and the ceremony spot just seems to fit in well enough that it just works. I’m slightly more committed to the reception spot than the ceremony spot. is it a terrible idea to book it first?
