My sis-in-law was severely sick with MS, enough so she needed iv medications–she had boys both times.

I am at 21w and still have a rough morning or two each week and at the worst of it I had what I’d call all day sickness. i’m having a girl. 🙂 my mom had no sickness with either my brother or I Where as both DHs mom and sister had it much worse with their girls.

I’m not sure you can go only go by being sick but it might be an indicator. I’ve also read that moms with worse MS have smarter babies (scientists believe something about vomiting causes chemicals that feed baby brain neuron development). They also say those who are horribly sick think HG might have something wrong with their LOs As the body tries to overcompensate and make more hcg.

@the_newlymintedmrs-s17:  I didn’t have terrible morning sickness and I’m having a girl. What I did have is terrible headaches which I think are due to the extra estrogen in my body from baby girl. After we found out we were pregnant I started dreaming that baby was a girl & I was right.

@the_newlymintedmrs-s17:  With DS I had no morning sickness, and now I’m having a girl and still no morning sickness! I had 24/7 heartburn with DS, none with baby girl though.

@the_newlymintedmrs-s17:  Princess Kate had hyperemesis gravidarium (full on, nine months long morning sickness) and had a baby boy. I think it depends on the mother, not the gender of the baby! Some lucky women might have none at all and end up with girls.

My first pregnancy (a boy) was fantastic, never sick, just got uncomfortable in the last few weeks (totally normal!).  This time I feel like crap all the time LOL so I think it is a girl.  Didn’t have terrible morning sickness, but it was pretty sucky for a few weeks.

I don’t think there is any credibility in any of the gender myths. My doctor was convinced it was a boy based on heart rate and my belly being low. Well we had the ultrasound tech check 3 times and she is clearly a girl! I also didn’t have it too bad for morning sickness and all of the chinese calandar stuff said boy.

@the_newlymintedmrs-s17:  My mom had mild to no (sometimes queasy, no throwing up) and 2 girls. I’m in the same boat (don’t know gender yet). I don’t think it means I’m having a girl. I think it means I am a girl that just isn’t prone to vomiting. I only have vomited 4 times in my life and I don’t remember most of them. I knew a girl that threw up every time she got sick and sure enough- horrible morning sickness. Everyone’s body has their ways of dealing with ‘OH NO, SOMETHINGS WEIRD HERE’. It makes me nervous that if I do eat something bad it won’t come back up though.

I was on meds my whole pregnancy because of all-day-sickness (morning sickness…who are they kidding)    I was seriously throwing up every day, all the time.   It was awful.

I have a boy.
