Yoga is a good start. If you have chriopractic coverage in your insurance plan, I’d also suggest going. I started going in Feb. of last year due to some back pain, and they mentioned my really bad neck posture (forward sloping neck like a turtle), which had always bothered me, but I didn’t realize it could be corrected. After doing the exercises they suggested, visiting regularly, and also trying to sit up straight, my neck is so much straighter.

I am also tall (5’9″) and think I spent my younger years slouching around everyone. My neck is totally straight now (curved in the right direction), and I really notice the difference in pictures. Granted, it took 8 months for me to really noticed the difference (8 months of going to the chiro every 3 days, then every week, then every 2 weeks, then every 3 weeks…; hanging my head off the bed every night for 10 minutes; and doing neck stretches daily – which the yoga can help with).

I still practice all of this stuff, but only see the chiro every month now for “maintenance”.

Oh, I also have a friend who uses this regularly. I can’t attest if it works, but she is tall (my height) and has great posture.
