Yuck. What a crappy way to start off the year. I hope it gets better (and you get your engagement soon!)

Hope that is the only bad thing that happens this year and the rest is full of joy and happiness.  : )

I’ve had a crappy start to the new year as well – “my” car (96 Honda Civic – nothing special but ran great!) was stolen on Sunday night. I say “my” car since my FH is the legal owner but even he calls it “my” car. Long story short – it was stolen using a kind of “master key”, the idiot thief crashed it into a garage, bailed out and took off. The cops found the car still running in an alley and towed it to an impound lot. FH has been trying to get the police to release the car for two days but everyone he needs to talk to is off duty or out of the office, the car isn’t in the system, you need this release and that report number,  this person in contradicting that person and around and around. Meanwhile, FH and I are snapping at each other and FH is leaving for a two week business trip in the morning. At this point, it looks like the car is going to sit at the impound till he gets back because I can legally do nothing. We don’t know how damaged the car is or if it’s even drivable. I’m worried that we’re going to owe more in impound fees in two weeks than the car is even worth. I can use FH’s car while he’s gone but I want my baby back!

My rough start to the New Year started 2 days prior to New Years.  I am a baker/cake decorator and I came home from work Wed and was cleaning frosting off my ring only to discover that one of the sapphires has fallen out of my ring.  Then on New Years Eve (the first time we have had any real amount of snow)  I parked my car at 130 and went to clean snow off it at 8 only to find someone had hit it.  And I’m not talking about just barely bumping it and giving me a little scratch.  They hit my Dodge Durango so hard that the back end slid 3+ feet nearly hitting my car next to it.  Not sure the extent of the damage but we hae a 500 deductible on it.

We are getting married in 38 days and I haven’t figured out flowers, I am looking for shoes for myself and Maid/Matron of Honor, Flower Girl and 1 Bridesmaid.  WE haven’t done tuxes yet.  Still have to pay for the Chapel and Reception (Getting married in Vegas)  My advice to you is don’t plan your wedding in only 3 months!

Wish me luck ladies I have a lot on my plate and classes start again next week
