I’ve been watching the weather forecast all week, so I knew it was coming. This morning I woke up to wind whipping the trees around outside. It sounds like a wind tunnel! There’s a wind advisory and of course there is rain. Have I told you the last two days have been sunny and beautiful!?
I’m having a small wedding here at home with immediate family so I won’t get wet in the rain at all : ) but our families are going to have to travel through the weather and that is kind of a bummer. Afterwards we’re having an open house reception where many more people are invited. I hope people won’t just stay at home because they don’t want to come out in the weather.

Only super lame people would not come out in a little rain to celebrate a wedding! No worries. Enjoy your beautiful day!

One of the BEST weddings I’ve ever been to had pouring rain most of the night and it was a partially tented reception, with the other half being in the main house. We didn’t care! People will still enjoy your wedding regardless, and some say that rain on your wedding day means your marriage will be long and prosperous. Congratulations!

The weather was crazy! One minute pouring down rain and thunder, the next minute sunshine. Then back to the rain. Then back to the sun. My now husband and I both wondered out loud if this was a sign. lol!
Anyway, because of the on again off again storm the electricity went out for a brief time. We started to get really worried for a minute there! But everthing turned out okay. Lots and lots of people showed up. In every room of the house there were people chatting and chatting away. Eating, drinking and being merry! We had trouble getting people to leave! 🙂
You all were right! The weather had no effect on attendance!
