Bees do you have bad dreams about your upcoming wedding? I just had the longest dream about my wedding- the venue was enormous and I kept walking through tables and tables of people I didn’t know and I couldn’t find any of my friends or family to say hi to. I would occasionally come across people from high school or work I would never have invited in real life. Someone brought me a loaf of French bread wrapped up in a box with wrapping paper (what am I going to do with that I’m about to leave for my honeymoon?!) And someone was taking pictures of me from up in a tree and dropped a tree branch on my head. I looked good though, in the dream, so that’s something I guess!

I had my first wedding ‘bad dream’ this week. I walked into the reception venue, and all of the tables had these ridiculously short tablecloths on them and looked RIDICULOUS. Hahah!

i had probably four or five right in a row, earlier this year. so bad that i woke up crying or shaking. they were bad. not your typical “the groom didn’t show up” or “the tablecloths were wrong”. no, one of them was that the reception venue went up in flames and all the guests were trapped and ended up dying.
that’s when the planning changed.

@Morganmime: thd other night I had a dream that Mr. Hedgy and I were late because we needed to get me a dress. Then no one not even my mom showed up. My friends went missing and my car was stolen. I called my man because for some reason we didnt spend our wedding night together and he camped at our highschool.
It must have been a bad night because apparently I wawhimpering in my sleep and when he woke me up I started crying that we coulndt afford xmas gifts. mp

I had one last week where the hair and makeup person didn’t show up.
Last night I had one where somehow, all the decorations were missing.
….I’ve had a few lately. 🙂

@Morganmime: So my wedding has come and gone. This was my experience with the wedding dreams. 3-1 month before my wedding, dreams about missing my own wedding. Weird crap too. Like I was stuck on a ferry (there are no ferrys where I live now), I just happened to sleep through my wedding and no one came to get me, I got arrested and missed my own wedding because I was a jewelry thief (???).
Then 2 weeks before the wedding – dreams about all my ex’s. Seriously WTF. Why??
Now that the wedding is over, I am still having nightmares about my wedding coming up, like it hasn’t already happened and I still need to worry about it. Hopefully they go away all together once more time has passed.

YES! So weird in that I haven’t even started planning enough that i should have these dreams. But last night, we had the reception in my old high school gym, and it was decorated like prom, shudder. and I yelled at the dj because he wasn’t playing music that anyone liked… and i just kept yelling that he wasn’t following the list from the Google Doc. It was unerving to say the least.

@treeline: I just laughed out loud at “because I was a jewelry thief”. You were probably obsessing about your rings!
These are good stories! Glad I’m not the only one

I had a dream my dress was 20 sizes too big. My dress is so poofy that it can stand on its own…well I was standing in the middle of my dress and it wasn’t even touching my body. That’s all I really remember about that one.
my bridal shower was today and I had a dram last night that all of my teeth rotted out and I couldn’t eat any of the food there. Crazy!

I, luckily, only had one wedding nightmare–but it was a doozy!
First, I had forgotten to book hair and makeup, so my girls started calling around frantically, looking for someone on the morning of. They found someone and get settled, but when it came time for MY hair and makeup, we had run out of time–my girls then had to make me over while on our way to the ceremony, and I ended up looking a hot mess.
The in between parts I don’t remember…
The reception took place in a small town’s city/town hall only minites from my hometown, and for some reason it was BYOB. People showed up with 12-packs of beer, 40s in paper bags, and even a keg! I was horrified.
I have no idea why I dreamt that it all happened around my home town, because we got married in the town we live in now (and have for 12 years!). SMH.

@Morganmime: Yup I’ve had 2, one right after we got engaged and another a couple weeks ago.
The first I dreamt that I couldn’t afford the wedding I wanted so we were settling. I remember the colors being pastel yellow and pink, we were in a cabin, Fiance was wearing a lumberjack red plaid shirt and suspenders, I had on a pink prarie dress.
A few weeks ago I had a dream (right after telling Fiance he needs to decide on his ring ASAP) that it was our wedding weekend and I didn’t find out until it was too late that I had left my dress 3 hrs away. Then Fiance told me he never got his ring OR rented a suit, I remember all of the flower arrangements being in the back of FMIL’s SUV and then finding all of my wedding invitations that I never sent. Obviously I was freaking out in my dream and Future Mother-In-Law was trying to tell me that it’s ok, we’ll just get the venue to push the date up to the next weekend and tell everyone to come then, I was all calmed down until I realized that the napkins, our cake servers, Save-The-Date Cards, Invites would all have the WRONG date on it, I started to panic and then I woke up. Needless to say FI’s ring is upstairs in the dresser drawer next to mine and we’ll be making an appointment for tuxes in the coming weeks.

@Morganmime: Oh yeah! I dreamed everything was going wrong and I kept saying “we can’t get married like this!” It was awful. I told my Fiance and he said he had a similar dream.

I didn’t, but my sister did. She dreamt that Fiance would be late for the ceremony and we’d have to get married over the phone and that a fight would break out at the reception between her boyfriend and my best friend’s brother. Her Boyfriend or Best Friend does NOT like the brother, even though they’ve never met.

Girl, I had two back to back. The first one was HORRIBLE. And of course I woke up to an email of my makeup artist canceling. The second one wasn’t so bad, but then I found out my free honeymoon was never booked and now they are booked solid for when we want to go.
Oh well! I’m just gonna have to save some money for us to pay for our honeymoon. And while there’s no one available to do airbrush makeup, traditional will just have to do!
But these dreams do suck!
