I had my first wedding dream last night! We were getting married and our photographer was the officiant? It was just weird! Ha…guess I have another year of it! Don’t stress to much about it, it’s just your subconscious working through some anxiety I imagine. Weddings are stressful!

how about wedding dreams / nitemares since BEFORE he proposed? I suppose I knew it was coming – we were shopping for rings/talking about it for a couple months.  The night before he proposed it was about using thin paneling on the outside of the cake and the cake on the inside (still iced) and fighting over “opening the cake” …. then recently I went flower shopping ALL NIGHT LONG.. Insane.

{and I really am not over stressed – everything is coming together buttttttt still!}

I dreamt I put my mom and sister in charge of the wedding favors, which turned out to be mini deodorants and flu shots! Not just any kind of flu shots – they were “self-serve” needles filled with bright orange liquid, and the tag attached to them said, “Electric Flu Shots.”

My mom dreamt that she was at sitting at my wedding ceremony, looked down, and realized she was wearing her work scrubs!

@KsoontobeN:

YES omg. The other night I had a dream that the MUA sent her 13 year old bratty daughter to do my makeup! The girl ended up doing an amazing job on my bridesmaid but then refused to put makeup on me. I 100% dont know how to do my own makeup so I was begging this little brat to put my makeup on and she just left without doing it. I woke up pouring sweat and I now feel weird about my real MUA and whenever I email her I make sure to be EXTRA nice.

I had my first wedding anxiety dream last night!  It was the day of the wedding and my mom and I realized that we had forgotten to get my dress altered, so it was too big and kept falling down.  We rushed to a mall to try and get it taken in (why a mall, I don’t know…), but the seamstress said that for it to get done that day it would cost us over $3,000!  I was freaking out and my mom suggested why don’t we just have two weddings- we’ll have a small one that night and I could just find a casual dress to wear, and we’ll move the big ceremony to the next day where I could wear my real dress (because it’s just that easy, lol!).  I agreed, but we couldn’t find any other dresses that fit me.

So strange!

@KsoontobeN:  have had quite a few wedding dreams, mainly about forgetting things, the last one I was I dreamed it was the wedding morning & I hadn’t washed my hair and it was greasy & there was no time to wash it.  I woke up feeling sad lol.

For the past few nights, I have been having the crazy, everything-goes-wrong, wedding dreams! I have only had them a few times before this.

Last night, I dreamed that my own wedding started without me, and I was in a church even though my wedding is outside. I was behind a door on the side of the santuary, watching the bridal party walk in, and I couldn’t figure out how to get to the right door to walk in on time.

When I did get there, it was not my Fiance, but a stranger. He took my arm and started to march me down the aisle, telling me we were getting married (not sure why he was walking in with me?), despite my protests that he was not my Fiance.

The night before last, I dreamed that I had a triple-wedding, in a large concert hall, and there were three podiums with three different styles of decorations. I was upset because I had not had time to finish my wedding planning, and nothing was what I wanted. I was wearing a giant poufy cinderella type dress (not me!), and it looked like I was on a parade float. Guests filled the concert hall to watch all three weddings at once… apparently we all had the same guest list!

I have had crazy wedding dreams! Like “Oops I forgot to invite anyone” or “Oops I wore my dress while hanging out and now I have no dress to wear to the wedding.” But last night I had the weirdest dream ever…

I was dating Steve Buscemi and my Fiance was nowhere to be found. Guys, my wedding looked like this-

Where do I even begin on the crazy wedding dreams? Here’s a few that really stuck with me:

1. I dreamed I was on vacation and while sitting on a dock with my feet in the water, a shark came up and bit my big toe off. I was freaking out how I could make my feet look good in my peep toe wedding shoes! Ya….my shoes aren’t peep toe. WTF? lol

2. Dreamed it was the wedding day and I STILL didn’t have a wedding dress so I had to go to multiple stores looking for an off-the-rack that would be suitable. I HATE that dream…thankfully my dress has come in, lol.

3. My Fiance and I had a huge fight (at the mall) and he told me he was leaving me for the first girl he could see. This happened to be a 17 year old tootsie pop…lol. He’s 28, even in my dream I was like “WTF is wrong with you?! She’s 17!!”. Haha, ya, I had one of those “I’m mad at you because you were stupid in my dream” moments with that one.

There have been MANY more, but those ones I remember the most vividly.

After reading this thread I feel better, because I have been having a lot of bad wedding dreams, haha! My wedding is in 2 and a half months and the most recent dreams were me not having my actual wedding dress, but a ratty old short dress that came up above my knees and I had to wear it because there was nothing else. Also, I hadn’t even planned and booked with the decorators yet for the background decorations for the reception and had none of my centerpieces or anything ready, hehe. Another one is the wedding and everything was all ready and our officiant didn’t show up and we had nobody to marry us and I was standing there in my dress and all my makeup done and the room looked amazing and we had to change the wedding date and send eveyone home, lol! It’s so funny too because I am not one of these people that has to have everything a certain way. I mean, I do to a certain extent and I have been doing all of the planning myself without help, but I am not a freak about everything and still having these dreams, hehe. I guess we are all normal! Smile

OH man! I’ve been having these dreams too! It’s so nice to see everyone else who has! I think watching wedding shows where everything goes wrong has been contributing to mine as well! The other night I had a dream that it was the day of, and I was in a Craft store desperately trying to find crafts to make for the reception… ALSO! My Fiance had somewhere he had to be and my sister stepped in his place! HOW WEIRD?!!!

I am bumping this because I refuse to start a new thread, but I literally woke up today mildly upset because I had another doozy last night.

Everything seemed to be going moderately well, when all of a sudden I find myself leaving the reception in the car with my mom, brother, and his girlfriend. We are going to McDonalds. IN THE DREAM I am telling myself not to be a bridezilla and to just nicely ask them to hurry up as we are missing the reception.

When we get back, all the guests have left and gone to some shopping mall that seems to have materialized in the basement of the venue. My Fiance had changed into a wool sweater and jean shorts. I couldn’t get the party started again because the venue decided to break down the wedding when everyone left to… shop?

I am blaming all of this on the burger I had last night. It’s so weird that my dreams have been so bad because I’m not really stressing about the wedding on a day to day basis.
