@Cherub23:  oh, I should clarify–I had sent them a stone I already ownee to set. They refunded everything, including the setting fee and fee for it being more than 6mm (or whatever their rule was). So I didn’t get anything “for free” other than the nice stone box and  holder they returned my stone with. Hope his helps!

You’re not bothering me!

I’m disgusted with James Allen. Ever since they were bought by Signet they have gone steadily downhill. Did you speak to someone or just email? I have to say at this point if they were that rude I’d return the whole ring. Or I’d go to a jeweler with a good bench and have another setting made. Even if you have to wait a few days, you’re going to wear the ring for life, so take a deep breath and try to relax (it’s hard, I knows⁷, but you can do it). This will be fixed, don’t let it ruin what is a very special time.

The other thing you can do is write a review of tje poor workma.ship and how you were treated. I have seen that these  kind of reviews often get attention. I have also seen people post on Pricescope when they have problems with a vendor. These things are monitored by the company’s media department, and may garner you some attention.

Don’t give up. You really do have options here! PM me if you have any other questions. It’s not a bother at all.
