You know yourself best! I personally love ballroom dance shoes, as they’re designed to be worn for a while and tend to have more support. That said, if you really want the Badgleys, go for it! You might wear them again. Plus, there’s always the chance that you kick off the ballroom shoes anyways, so why not splurge if the outcome is going to be the same no matter what?

mrsrekraps22:  If I had the money I would go for the shoes you want!  I’ve been married for 2 years and I will wear the shoes I wore to our wedding out sometimes for special occassions.  I think you would get more use out of the more expensive shoes since you like them so much.

Bridesmaid or Best Man dress shoes are not the most uncomfortable shoes I’ve ever worn, but they’re not exactly comfortable — noticeable height — and I wear heels frequently and consider myself a shoe person. I feel like if you usually ditch your shoes anyway and are not a shoe person, you’re going to end up wearing them for some Pin-styled pics and then ditching them or changing into something more wearable. If that’s worth $225, then yes, go for it — they’re very pretty and will look awesome with your dress! But if you need that money for other things, then maybe not…

Will you regret spending money on those shoes later?

If the answer is ‘no’, then splurge.

I splurged on my wedding shoes (designed my own on Shoes of Prey) and I have only worn them one other time.  Part of that is my fault- I should have went a bit more conservative on the design maybe, but part of that is because the shoes were so damn uncomfortable!  I learned that peep toes really aren’t for me, lol.  However, it does look like you found those shoes on Zappos- and they have a good return policy.  Splurge on them, see them in person, wear them around the house for awhile….if you still love them and find the comfortable enough, keep them!  If not, return them.

FWIW, I actually love those ballroom dancing shoes.  The rose gold glitter is super pretty!

I would try to get them on sale.  Macys has Badgley Mischka.  I got mine for my wedding from Macys on sale.  Macys always has random coupons and you sign up for an Ebates, you get some cashback.  Even if you can’t get them on sale, I think if you can afford them, get them!

This is the same pair of shoes that I’ve had my eye on for a few weeks now! When other websites have them on sale, Nordstroms ususally price matches. 🙂

    I say splurge!
