I agree with the jeweler-they are very art deco looking. In my mind they always fascinated me because they can look modern and vintage at the same time. I say go for it! I would love me some baguettes in a RHR one day!

@Andr0meda: Then you should! I showed my Fi one similar to the first one when we were looking but she did not like it at all 🙁 You should go for it!!!

I have baguettes in my setting.  I love them!  I always had a weakness for step cut stones.  Go for it!

Also, a RHR = right hand ring

My e-ring has the small accent baguettes.  They don’t sparkle much, but I think they add a lot of character to the ring.

I don’t like baguettes at all (or emerald cut diamonds… pretty much all step cut stones). They are barely sparkly and look even less so next to high quality cut round diamonds (quality referring to the quality of cut- better cut on the round stones, more sparkle).

Everyone’s style is different. I pretty much only like round brilliant stones. I find that they’re so sparkly in every light.

I absolutely love baguettes. They make a ring look so sophisticated. Everyone does the Ring Bearer thing (because they are gorgeous), but if you want something subtle and a little different, totally go for the baguettes!

I’m not a big fan of baguettes, bit since I’m not wearing it, that doesn’t mean much. Like the pp. I’m a glitter girl and I dont think they sparkle enough

I have a vintage Art Deco e-ring with baguettes and, while they don’t sparkle much, when they do catch the light they give a lovely little flash that really makes me smile.

My best friend’s setting has baguettes in it, and I love it! It’s not the sparkliest cut, but it’s very gorgeous and I agree, it’s totally art deco.

I have bullets in my ring, which are slightly smaller than a typical baguette. While they don’t add a ton of sparkle, they add visual interest and really let my center stone shine. I LOVE baguettes.

My ering has baguettes!!  Instead of a split shank, my ring has baguettes to fill that part in.  I really love it along with pave diamonds.  Agreed with PPs though, they aren’t the most sparkly part of my ring but that’s totally fine with me.

ETA I guess my ring doesn’t fit the criteria you spoke of, mine are more of accents but we just hardly talk of baguettes… sorry.
