My Fiance and I went to the Bahamas for a weekend getaway in January. We stayed at the Riu on Paradise Island (it’s right next door to the Atlantis). It was great because the Riu is a 100% inclusive resort. All food and alcohol is included and is available at all times. We would go over to the Atlantis to gamble but would otherwise relax by the pool/on the beach.

There’s not a ton of “sightseeing” there although we did walk into downtown and shopped around. LOTS of diamond stores.

As for nightlife, the Riu had events every night (some of them very cheesy) but we weren’t really focusing on night life.

We’re going to Treasure Cay, Bahamas.  I heard its beautiful there and should be very relaxing with plenty of entertainment as well.

Pink Sands in the Bahamas is amazing. There’s a fantastic Club Med there as well.

My FH and I have done an annual trip every march and last year we went to Nassau. We stayed at the Wyndham Nassau Resort. I absolutely loved it there. The only advice i would give is go All Inclusive!! we didnt and ended up spending way too much money on food. Bahamas are great because its not like Jamaica or St. lucia where its a little unsafe to travel off the resort. We would take a bus for $1.50 downtown everyday and walk around. Be sure to check out Paradise Island and Atlantis, you can do a day trip there and pay to use their facilities if you arent staying there. The only complaint i had was we went downtown one night and it was EMPTY not a single person in the street, its was kinda creepy actually, but besides Senor Frogs there isnt much of a nightlife outside the resorts, but i wouldnt let that affect your decision, the resorts always have so much to do. If you go be sure to check out the Zoo and Bontanical Gardens, It only took aobut an hour and half to walk through but its beautiful and very romantic! Good luck and have so much fun!

this is the resort:

We are getting married at Breezes in Bahamas! My parents stayed there a few years ago and LOVED it!
