We did a couple of historical tours of Fort Fincastle and Fort Charlotte, but we’re pretty big history nerds.  The forts were really cool to see, and you actually got to walk through all the underground tunnels to see how they actually protected the islands!

Enjoy yourself – Nassau was gorgeous!  You may want to consider buying a day-pass to some of the Atlantis attractions – but make sure you do your research ahead of time because they are super expensive!

We stayed next door at the Wyndham in 2011.  Loved it!  We’ve also cruised and stopped in Nassau as well.

My favorite two things we’ve done there were the dolphin experience at Blue Lagoon (link) and the day-long Powerboat Adventures trip to Ship Channel Cay (link).  We’ve also done the stingray swim (link), which was fun, but not nearly as cool as the others. The beach at the Sheraton/Wyndham (Cable Beach) is beautiful!  We swam a lot and relaxed on the beach.  Be sure to head across the street to the Daiquiri Shack (literally a shack)– all drinks made with fresh fruit and run, and less than half the cost of the on-resort bars.

The Powerboat Adventure was seriously one of the best days of my life– you stop to feed iguanas on a habitat island, snorkel, they do a shark feeding/wrestling, and drinks/lunch are provided.  One of the most gorgeous places I’ve ever been!  Here’s a pic of us during the iguana stop.

@nonapkns:  DH and I are staying at the Sheraton in June!  We stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian for our honeymoon and honestly, we barely left the resort.  This time, we plan on taking a tour or two, going to Atlantis for a couple of days, and doing a little bite of sightseeing and ALOT of lazy beach bum time!
