sparkle1819:  i think thats a great idea, you get the best of having a wedding without the headache of planning  a wedding haha and it certainly saves money.

i am in the process of planning a destination wedding for 10/1/16 in Jamaica. I recommend looking into Sandals. Using their website for wedding planning is simple… they  have everything laid out with pics and prices. i think they have some promos going on now too.

i also recommend using a professional. a travel agent that specializes in honeymoons & dest weddings. it REALLY helps, and the agent makes a commission from the resort so you they either charge a very small fee, or no fee at all. they will be able to guide you, answer questions and basically be the liason btwn you and the resorts.

good luck!

I just did a dw at sandals in Jamaica. While I was iffy on the resort , the wedding was perfect and the process is soooooo easy. Pretty much no stress, and I love that i was able to personalize by bringing in outside decorations. I don’t have any info on Bahamas but can try to answer anything you might have about sandals in general.

Hi ….

Being from the Bahamas I would say that it is a great choice. However Sandals would be great but it would be such a commercial type wedding. The outislands are the best choice for destination weddings, that if you are looking for something more intimate and in a more quiet setting.
