I would get in touch with a wedding planner in Nassau to help give you some more ideas.  I’m sure you could get married on a public beach and then do the reception at a local restaurant or something.

Atlantis is going to rip you off hard core if you plan through them, so you’re better off getting a local planner who isn’t affiliated with the resort.

I’m a photographer and did a wedding in Nassau this past May and she used Natalie Appleyard from Wildflowers Bahamas as her planner.  Natalie did an amazing job with everything and I’m sure she could find the perfect option for you and your fiance!
