Hey Fellow Bees! We are having a bake-off at work in a few weeks and I want to win – I have a title to uphold. A few months ago we had a dip-off and my dip won 2nd place. Does anyone have any dessert recipes that are just amazing and will win? Please give me some ideas. I always make cookies and cupcakes and everyone loves them but I want to try something new.

@krstino1012: I don’t have a recipe but if you bake a good peach cobbler or apple pie I would give you my vote! Try allrecipes.com

Hmm…I’d have to think about dessert. I do have a great recipe for cream cheese filled croissants that I think are better than anything you can buy in a store. And I love cream cheese. I’d probably have to do a cheesecake, I have a good recipe for lemon raspberry cheesecake if you want to go that route. Not as handheld as cookies or cupcakes though.

applie pie might be an option – i am not a huge cheesecake fan so i probably wouldnt make that.

Someone at work just made these fudgy brownie things with peppermit frosting and chocolate chunks on top. Tasted like a York peppermint patty but even better! SO GOOD. I’m trying not to each the entire batch. I’m getting the recipe from her today and could send it to you, if you’re interested.

If you like chocolate and peanut butter, this recipe is a must: http://smittenkitchen.com/blog/2008/08/chocolate-peanut-butter-cake/
It is a little more difficult than most cake recipes, but it is a fan favorite.

I found this on Pinterest last year and it was amazing!
ETA: sorry for the huge pic! The peanut butter layers are so tasty, and the whole thing is incredibly rich. It was a showstopper at the event I made it for.

I can promise you that these no bake oreo cake pops are completely amazing, and they are really easy to make. Whenever I make them and bring them somewhere, they are the first thing to disappear. And you can get as simple or fancy with the decorating as you want!

And I have yet to make these, but I’m sure the presentation would wow people! Very cool concept — apple pies baked inside of an apple!
