Have you paid her anything yet? Does it say when it will be delivered in your contract? If it says that your contract is for a cake to be delivered on X date (your date) blah blah blah, she CANNOT make you take the cake before then. If she insists, tell her you’re taking her to small claims court to get your money back since it’s breach of contract.
Also, find another baker FAST.

I would def go with another bakery. You should not be dealing with this. This is their mistake and you should request a full refund.

@laboroflove- Yes I’ve put down a deposit of $125 plus have done my cake tastings and final design approvals. The contract does have the $100 delivery fee but no where does it say what day it will be delivered.
@msmonicka- I know my mom and I have been on the phone all day talking about how we shouldn’t be dealing with this.
I’m at this point offended by the comments and I wish I would have spoken up but both my mom and I just sat there dumbfounded because of the comments.

what time is your wedding? if the other wedding is at a golf club, she can probably go in early and set it up before time then haul ass back to your venue.

@cre- Mine starts at 6pm. Not sure when the other starts. I’m guessing evening if there is a golf tourney. The problem would be driving 10 hours round trip to my venue. How are your plans coming?

umm I would tell her she needs to hire someone to deliver that cake. She must have more people working there, at least enough staff to handle two separate deliveries I would hope!

Update since I’ve had some ask-
I have decided to have her deliver the cakes on Friday because she is usually running late and I don’t want to stress on Saturday over her. I’m going to request that she leave us extra icing in case we need it.
I looked into a local bakery near my venue but I wasn’t impressed with their work and they were pricey. So wish me luck!
