    It will turn even harder than it is and if you’re chewing into the cookie it might be a bit unpleasant. I saw a recipe once about making a candy glass out of crunched candy, the thing is the candy melts fuses together and then hardens.

    I’ve seen recipes for chocolate chip cookies with candy canes in them before, but they’re all crushed pretty fine. As long as you’re not leaving huge chunks of candy cane you’ll probably be fine.

    personally those don’t sound good, but they do have new candycane minikisses for baking so someone must think that it is a good combo.

    When baking with candy canes, crush them all and use a sifter/collander to separate the finer pieces from the larger pieces.  Use the finer pieces in the dough and decorate the top with the larger pieces.

    Brownies with crushed candy canes are also delicious 🙂
