I feel kinda bad to kinda abandon my old thread at that time:
[Pool] HELP! Best dress for petite bride? (pic heavy!)
So many things happened. Starting new job, moving to a new house etc So I’ll try to post some recap here. I’ll start with the dress and work my way up to cover the ceremony/reception. Please bear with me as these are all raw/unretouched pics.
I had my Bali wedding last October. In the end for my main dress, I didn’t go for any of the dress I listed on the previous thread. I ended up with my vision of non-bling, ethereal, classic lace ballgown with a bit of twist. Vera Wang Eliza that is!
I have a thing for black, and Eliza definitely fills the bill. It’s very delicate with beautiful combination of lace. It’s quite poofy but since it’s tulle it’s relatively light and I can run and dance during the reception with no issue.
For the veil, I went with Twigs & Honey, which I requested to be custom made as chapel length. I love love love this veil, and plan to clean/preserve it. Who knows one day I’ll have a daughter/daughter in law that will want to wear this.
By The Way…my husband decided to keep it classic and simple, with black bowtie to match my sash.
To be continued…

thank you for the kind words ladies! here’s a bit more glimpse to the day:
I personally have a passion for artisanal products though, so I source a lot of my weddings to Etsy. Some of them:
Hand calligraphed invitation suite. With letterpressed cards and vintage 50s doily napkin used as inner envelope. I do incorporate lace here and there throughout the wedding, as I draw the inspiration from my dress 🙂
Personalized welcome bag, I stamped each of the guest name to the bag and put welcome letter, Balinese snack and tshirt inside.
Lasercut Favor Boxes. Again this works so well with lace.
Gift boxes for bridal party: handmade, organic skincare wrapped in handmade botanical paper.
Custom escort card, each attached to a boutonniere:
I’ll try to follow up soon on the next post!
