I tried on this Maggie Sottero – Belinda ball gown and loved it!

I ended up not getting it because I prefered a dress without bling.

I am guessing you are looking for a dress UNDER 1500 not OVER 1500? This one was 1500 on the dot at my bridal salon.

My Bridal salon where I put down on my wonderfully blinged out Eve of Milady ballgown is selling all her Eve of Mialdy ballgown samples for 50% off. She is not advertising it, but she has about 6 or 7 more. It is called Maria’s Bridal in West Bloomfield Michigan. Here is a pic of the dress I put down on. I am rethinking it because it is alot of bling and none of my friends are really into bling and they are giving me a hard time about it. I really didn’t go in wanting a ballgown but when I tried it, it was amazing. No rouching though.

Here is my ballgown, I’m also feeling a little self concious that it is too big.. I tend to be an impulse shopper and didn’t try much on. I’m also undecisive so it may just me be worrying. I haven’t really gotten a great reaction from my family or friends on it though so I’m not sure what I am going to do. I am tempted to go try on other dresses now that my eyes are open just to make sure I am not making a mistake.

In regards to ballgowns that fit that criteria I would try Maggie Sottero gowns. I did not end up with a ball gown but I tried some on that were exactly what you are looking for. Have you also tried looking into pre-owned wedding dresses, this way you could get a nicer designer for the same price.

All of these are amazing, I saw a EoM gown in person, and they are gorgeous if not a bit pricey. It all just really depends on what you love, and to keep trying them on until you find The One. 🙂

ehunter, I think your dress is beautiful! I’m having the same sort of thoughts about my dress but I think that’s just how I am with any big decision I make.

Mrs Martin to be – that dress is absolutely beautiful!  I understand the whole no-bling thing, though.  To bling or not to bling…

This is my ballgown (before alterations) – it has some bling but not too much IMO. Dupioni silk and Swarovski Crystals made it more expensive than $1500.

I would also check out Moonlight Bridal! They have lots of the blingy, satiny ballgown dresses and they are in the Maggie price range as well.
