So I’ve got the dress. Mainly because I have the Princess syndrome and the price. When I bought it, it would fit eventually that I knew due to having weight loss surgery. What I didn’t think of, was liking the skinny me so much that I want something more from fitting. I haven’t been this size since college so I kind of forgotten how I looked. Can the ball gown be altered enough to a more form fitting silhouette or do I need a new dress?

I don’t think it would be easy or cost-effective to have your ball gown altered into a more form-fitting gown, and, even if that could be accomplished, you may not even like the final result.
Since you’ve always wanted to wear a princess dress, and you already have invested in it, I would wear the gown that you’ve chosen during the ceremony portion of your big day. If you find a form-fitting dress you love, you can always purchase that to wear during all or part of your reception. That way, you could enjoy both the vision you had for your wedding, and the slim, new you!
Congratuations on your weight loss!

I agree- lI’ve the ball gown dream at the ceremony and then show off those curves at the reception. With the right dress it would probably be cheaper than a complete ball gown overall.
