@MrsRingor2011: Cinderella was $899, Snow White was $999, the Cinderella platinum is around $1200 I think, but most of them were under $1000.

i thought the same thing before i found my ball gown. i thought i would look like a chunky cupcake or something. im only 5 foot and my dress was a bridal size 22. im a street size 16/18! and i think the ball gown was the most flattering, very fitted on the top and made me have a smooth seamless look!

@MrsRingor2011: This is a Davids Bridal – I have an awkward shape, and this was one of THE dresses, but we’ve decided to do a beach wedding instead..  I was going to do a corset in the back.

I am 5′ 2″ and wear a street size 20 (sometimes 22, if the brand runs small). I ended up with a size 18 gown and it looks A-Maze-Ing on me. And… i have quite a sizeable behind area, but the ballgown hides my only insecure area because the skirt poofs out perfectly.

I’m 5’3 and a size 20 bridal and I thought a natural waist ballgown accented my smallest part of my waist!

I haven’t shopped for my gown yet, but I’m definitely going to be wearing a ball gown. I tried on some ball gowns at David’s Bridal just for fun one day so I could make sure that that’s the style I wanted (I want to be prepared when I go dress shopping for real and since you don’t need an appointment, I figured I would just go in and play around in the dresses lol) and I thought that they were really figure flattering and almost made me look taller! I’m definitely going to do a natural waist or a waist thats slightly above my natural waist (but not empire – that makes me look a little bit pregnant) and I’ll stay away from dropped or elongated waists. My bottom half is the biggest part of me so I want to hide it. Love ball gowns!

@MrsRingor2011:I think a ballgown is fine- I just wouldn’t do a satin ballgown because it has some beach decorations and satin seems more formal/heavier.

@redhead46: Can you please name the styles of the dresses you posted of you? I loveeee all of them. I’m pretty sure the last one is AA Snow White (correct me if I’m wrong), but the rest I’m stumped. Do tell!

@MrsGibby2Bee: I tried this dress on and fell in love with it. I actually bought it, but took it back due to stupid dress regret.

I’m a size 14-16 but pretty petite in the hips area. I’m 5’2”. My big issue is in the chest area. I have a pretty big chest (helllloooo….girls!) and gather fat in my stomach/love handles.

@TheLionQueen: Ok here goes:  (and to let anyone curious know, all these dresses were under $1,000)

Dress 1: Alfred Angelo Style 205 CinderellaDress 2: Alfred Angelo Style 2112Dress 3: David’s Bridal Style 9WG9927Dress 4: Alfred Angelo Style 207 Snow White (yes you were right and this is MY dress!)

Then I’d figure I’ll throw one more in there for everyone to see.
