@redhead46: love that last one. Your Snow White is beautiful! Congrats on finding THE dress!

@TheLionQueen: Thanks.  I loved that last dress too except the top was like hard, almost felt like a cast up top and there was some torpedo action going on when I turned sideways, not the most flattering look.  Loved it from the front though.  But the Snow White dress was a little more fun, which I totally wanted, and definately goes with my outdoor garden wedding.

I tried on a couple ball gowns and I found them to be very, very flattering, but it felt like too much dress to me.  The one gown, with the slip, had so many layers of heavy fabric it was literally hard to walk in.  I went with the Oleg Cassini 352 from DB, which I’m wearing without a slip.

@Redhead- Dress #5 that you posted above was my mom’s #1 pick.  I didn’t get it, because I tried it on with a full ballgown slip and it felt way too “poufy” at the time, but I should’ve gone back and asked to try it on again without the slip.  I think it would’ve been soooo comfy and probably wouldn’t have needed any alterations!

I have always pictured myself in this big tulle huge ballgown full of bling and when I started trying on dresses I found that THe bigger the dress the less flattering I feel that they are. But the only thing that matters is what you love and what you are comfortable in. Good luck!!!

@seven12: That was with a small slip but I thought that dress was so uncomfortable, it was really stiff on the top and I was really hot in it.  I liked how it looked from the front though.

I’m 5’8 so i dont really know about them making you shorter, but i do feel like it showed off my curves without showing off my bottom half which is not cute. so a fitted dress was out for me from the start!
