I am working on ideas for a gift for my bridesmaid. I am getting married in January so flipflops aren’t really an option, but I wanted comfy shoes to give the girls for the reception. I am also planning on getting them earrings, a survival kit (tissues, advil, bandaids etc) and then something personal to each girl (Vera Bradley, non-wedding jewelry, etc).
I came across these on overstock.com what do you think? In silver since that goes with my wedding colors. Dark blue, silver and white. The girls are wearing long David’s bridal dresses in Marine. They are $19.99

They’re so cute! I want them all!

Since they are for your wedding, in your wedding colours, they don’t count as part of their thank you gift, IMO. But they are cute, and if you want them to have them then get them.

Thanks for your ideas ladies.
I wasn’t thinking of it as something they had to wear or to make them uniform but more as a gesture to show I want them to be comfy. But I will rember that it is wedding related when adding to the gift. I also intend to make the person gift the “real” gift and the others just sort of fun thinking of you type stuff.

It’s a very sweet gesture, but I can almost guarantee I wouldn’t wear them at the reception or beyond. But you know your girls best!

They are great but get them in a color they can wear after the wedding, with street clothes.

Those are super cute and I think giving them as a gift is a good idea. I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in my friend’s wedding and she asked us to wear terribly uncomfortable heels at the ceremony, and then gave us satin slippers for the reception which we were all VERY thankful for.
I didn’t really plan on using the slippers after the wedding, but I actually now use them to just wear around the house when my feet are a little chilly and I don’t want to wear my bulky slippers (like when I’m cleaning).
So yeah I would go for it; I think the BMs would love them.

@DEBeachGirl: I gave similar shoes but in black. I got the silver for myself and never wear them besides at the wedding The girls all wore them at the reception but at least on mine the soles are pretty thin for outdoor wear. I kind of figured they’d be great to toss in a purse for those other nights we go out in heels and end up having to walk around town after to get food or walk home (totally advertised as this) But yeah, you can feel every pebble on the sidewalk so no go. More for just home use.
