Loved my giant dress!  I don’t think that anyone would have ever pictured me in one, but I wouldn’t have felt weddingy if I hadn’t had one.  We had our reception outside in a rustic lodge in a park so it totally didn’t even go with everything, but it was perfect.  I have no idea which dress it is- I bought it at the running of the brides and its a sottero and midgley (or whatever) and I think they’ve discontinued it.  I got a huge kick out of the little girls at the wedding who kept running up and hugging me all night because I was a real life princess to them.  It was really cute.

LOVE the Belle dress! That’s actually the one I was looking at before I found mine.  Here it is. Sorry for the huge picture. I’m not sure how to change the size.

I can’t believe I missed this thread! I actually haven’t gotten any negatuve comments IRL, but I know a lot of people don’t like them. A few of the ones above were actually top contenders for me :).

I got me a nice, big dress! And I never thought I would want one–totally thought I was a mermaid girl. However, how often do you really get to rock a ballgown? I never had one for prom so it was now or never!

I really wanted a ball gown for the wedding..and almost bought one. However, I’m pretty short so it was hard to find one that didn’t overwhelm me in fabric and make me look silly. I luckily found my gem on a whim but I kinda wish I did buy a big dress sometimes.

@Belle2Be: I can’t believe that someone used the t word about your dress! It’s gorgeous!

Beauty and the Beast was my favorite Disney movie too :). Lennox had some really cute cake toppers with them, but that seems mean to Fiance, lol. I wonder how many of us were inspired by her dress?

@Belle2Be: Your dress is so not tacky. Haters will hate, lady, just let them.

I wore a ballgown! It was the exact opposite of what I started out looking for. When I started my search, I was looking for a lace trumpet dress. After 7 months and over 150 dresses, I ended up with a taffeta ballgown. No pro pics yet (soon!) but here is me trying it on at the shop. Not the best pic, but oh well.

@Belle2Be: Ugh. I have been resisting the temptation to call and harass my photog. Im hoping I’ll have them by the end of the week.
