I love the tulle draping! The balloons could be cool if you went with the modern-looking round ones, but I think the tulle will give the ceiling a softer, more romantic look.

If you do balloons, I would do the BIG white round ones. Perfectly round, not the teardrop shape. I like the idea of the snowflakes hanging down. That being said, it sounds like you already have a lot going on, so I’m not convinced having that much more is necessary. It would likely cost you a fair chunk of change to cover the whole ceiling, and I’d worry that there would be a lack of a focal point. Could you ask your venue about hanging stuff from the ceiling? What about doing just a cluster of big sparkly snowflakes over your dance floor?

I’d go with the tulle and lights. To me, balloons just don’t say wedding.

I agree with Bakerella and Jo.Lee….big round white balloons would be cool. I wouldn’t say the traditional teardrop balloons are tacky, but they are kinda dated IMO.

I’m not a big fan of balloons at weddings, but if they speak to you, by all means.

I agree with the PP who talked about the perfectly round ones though if you do end up doing them.

I say no to balloons. Even the big round ones that look almost like lanterns. To me those are way more summer. Just skip the balloons all together!

Not of fan of balloons or tulle. Is the ceiling really that bad that you need it covered?

definitely no balloons.  Perhaps a ceiling drapping?

No balloons.  I think they say high school prom, not wedding.  I think the tulle and lights has a nicer look.

I say no balloons but what about the big white paper lanterns?  Kind of like the big round balloons but they can light up
