I don’t particularly like them for weddings, and I also don’t think it would work well with your theme.  Just my opinion though πŸ™‚

I hate to use the word tacky, but I think they look really tacky at weddings.

Could you use some other kind of decor? I’m not sure that balloons match your vibe of semi-elegance. I bet there are tons of more “elegant” types of decor that you could find on Etsy or something! πŸ™‚

I think if done a certain way with a certain style of wedding they could work, but I don’t think of them as part of the Roaring 20’s theme (which sounds awesome btw)

I like free-flowing, whimsical baloons but baloons in shapes seem too circus-y for me.

Truthfully, they make me think of prom. Balloon arches always read as a little juvenile and a wedding is a grown-up event. I would maybe try and do flowers or something else if you want to do an arch.

I wouldn’t call them classy per se, but I would call them more fun/whimsical than all out tacky. Depends on the theme and how they’re done. πŸ™‚

I don’t think they’re tacky, but I do think they’re extremely unfashionable for a wedding.

They remind me of a sweet 16. Embarassed

Acrh= prom, but there are some cute alternatives. And ballons are cheap! ETA: This is from Martha Stewart wedding and they used it as a photobooth back drop!
