We will not be having a dance foor brought in but rather using the area and somehow setting it apart. i have done so many balloon arches and wands for the store i work at that I was thinking this could be an alternative to an expensive dance floor to set the floor apart. Is this tacky or classy? our theme is the roaring 20s in a semi elegant fashion

I don’t particularly like them for weddings, and I also don’t think it would work well with your theme. Just my opinion though 🙂

I hate to use the word tacky, but I think they look really tacky at weddings.

Could you use some other kind of decor? I’m not sure that balloons match your vibe of semi-elegance. I bet there are tons of more “elegant” types of decor that you could find on Etsy or something! 🙂

I think if done a certain way with a certain style of wedding they could work, but I don’t think of them as part of the Roaring 20’s theme (which sounds awesome btw)

I like free-flowing, whimsical baloons but baloons in shapes seem too circus-y for me.

Truthfully, they make me think of prom. Balloon arches always read as a little juvenile and a wedding is a grown-up event. I would maybe try and do flowers or something else if you want to do an arch.

I wouldn’t call them classy per se, but I would call them more fun/whimsical than all out tacky. Depends on the theme and how they’re done. 🙂

I don’t think they’re tacky, but I do think they’re extremely unfashionable for a wedding.

These were kind of my thought but Fi thinks they would be wonderOk so lets turn the tables a bit. What are some creative not envasive to the floor ways to show the floor is seperate from the rest of the venue?

Beautiful flowing fabric, draped in arches or flowing panels. You can make it very sheer too, to add to the elegance.
or this idea with beads (not hippy beads, but more in line with your roaring twenties classy elegance): http://sell.lulusoso.com/selling-leads/275744/decorative-room-divider.html

Scroll halfway down…there is a picture with fabric panels and lanterns (or you could do ballons) 🙂

They remind me of a sweet 16.

Acrh= prom, but there are some cute alternatives. And ballons are cheap! ETA: This is from Martha Stewart wedding and they used it as a photobooth back drop!
