So, instead of renting bamboo arches (getting married in Maui), we have decided to use balloons since I don’t want to end up paying almost $200 just to rent bamboo arches. I was thinking of putting a set of balloons on each side (we will be standing in between, similar to the first photo), but I couldn’t figure out whether I should go with those 36″ balloons, or normal size balloons…. Here are some photos of some balloons that I thought would look good (except some of the colors). I love the confetti design on the small balloons, and the big ones are so pretty as well! Help me choose Please?
Oh and of course, I’ll be using less balloons if I end up choosing the big ones, maybe 2 on each sides, and maybe 10 on each sides if I end up with the small ones!

I love balloons!! Here’s a pic from my e-shoot using balloons. For an arch I think many smaller ones work better as the colours have a chance to blend, though big ones for shoots would work well!

Love the big ones! But depends in your colours I guess!

I love the big ones but mainly because of the streamers, theyre gorgeous!! I think the streamers would help frame where your standing rather than just looking like theres some balloons bobbing along beside you lol 🙂

MrsYoshida: PenguininaJumper: Aqua59: thank you girls! If I choose the small ones I would definitely make sure that it doesn’t get all over lol. And yeah small ones means more colors and I love the gold conffetis on them! , and most of our colors will be light pastel colors. I do love the streamers of the big ones though! So confusing! >_< I tried looking online, but I didnt find any pictures of balloon arches (kind of) that looks similar to what I want!

I’m sorry but I can’t help but think of a pep rally when you say balloon arch. However, it sounds like you want to have sets of balloons on each side more than a structure of balloons over you.
I think the large balloons with streamers looks really nice. I’ve seen them filled up with confetti inside in addition to the garland. I considered having my bridesmaids walk down the aisle with them instead of bouquets.
I think this is also a nice idea as a balloon backdrop and you could repurpose it for a photobooth backdrop during the reception.

OMGMrsW2B: I’m not sure if you read what I wrote up there but here it is:
“So, instead of renting bamboo arches (getting married in Maui), we have decided to use balloons since I don’t want to end up paying almost $200 just to rent bamboo arches. I was thinking of putting a set of balloons on each side (we will be standing in between, similar to the first photo)”
I only wrote balloon arch as a title because that would be the purpose of the balloons I guess lol they’ll be replacing a typical wedding arch. I’d have to say though…. Those gold balloons are gorgeous!

Mrs.DK: I like the big ones, but are you getting married outside? If so, I might reconsider the balloons because it can get pretty windy on Maui! Or be sure to get heavy weights and make sure they’re far enough away so they don’t bop you on the head mid-ceremony!

TheSpecial: I guess that’s another reason to go with the bigger ones as well… I was thinking of adding extra strings on the back so that it doesn’t get too close to us lol. this is the location.

Use the big ones. The small ones will just look like a kids birthday party.
