What about soemthing like this?  It’s a cluster of chinese lanterns, I think the balloons remind me of something juvenile like a bar mitzvah or prom.

Based on that picture I like it.  Perhaps people are having a hard time picturing it.  I imagine that balloons can easily go into a more childish look if they are done wrong.

I think if done right… it can look AMAZING.. if done not quite right, it can look like a prom/kid’s bday party! just do lots and lots of google image searches so that you can get an idea of how to make it classy like you want.

It can be amazing I think… or it can be atrocious! That link the PP provided has good ideas.

Here are some I found on google that may be the idea/tone you’re going for.  Those really big round ones look cool, but I dont know how much those cost compared to standard balloons.  But I think you could use large normal balloons in any of those and still look nice.

i love balloons, as long as they’re done right! you obviously know how to do them right so dooooo it. we are going to have a few large round balloons at our wedding but probably just for pictures as i can’t figure out a great place to put them (everything will be outdoors). they’re pretty expensive though… the cheapest i have found is on etsy and i think they’re around $6 each.

Aesthetically it could be great. But popping balloons is a pet peeve of mine, and I bet I’m not alone. Loads of balloons popping would totally stress me out.

I like the balloons if done right.  They make them round and I really like those.  They are cost effective and cover a lot of space, plus if they are on the ceiling you don’t have to worry about centerpieces.
