Here is my dress:
It is made of silk and has an alecnon lace bodice and hem. The bodice has boning in it, and it a smidgen too large now that I lost a little weight. I had purchased the dress used, and it fit perfectly except was a little long, a few inches. How much would alterations be for this type of gown? I’m thinking 300? But I’m hoping for less…haha

I bought my dress yesterday and the lady said they usually tell people to budget $300 to be on the safe side. I bet yours will be less though, it doesn’t sound like you have many alterations to do.

It’s hard to say, depending on how they do it, how many layers the dress has, and whether your shop is expensive or not. I almost bought a dress, 1 layer skirt. To hem and bustle it would have been around $85. The dress I did get cost $195 to hem and bustle. It’s 3 or 4 layers, plain bottom though. Also, with the lace detailing on the bottom of yours, they’ll have to hem it specially. Either raise the lace, or hem it from the waist (I think they can do that). So that might add to the cost.
Hope I helped at all? Haha. I would be surprised if it was more than $250.
