No. Someone still has to handle your check and make the deposit and that wouldn’t be done until Monday morning when they open regardless.

No, like po said…in my experience, it also depends on the amount.

It won’t matter until the check processes/clears the other bank account (the maker of the check), which usually takes at least a full business day.  Your bank may front all, or a portion of, the deposited amount in good faith though.

First off, no it won’t matter if it’s done on Sunday or Monday.  Both count as Monday business day.  Whether or not the money will clear the same day completely depends on the bank and the amount.  For instance, I have one bank where I can deposit $2000 and it clears immediately.  I have another bank where I can deposit $2000 and only $300 will release immediately.  The rest on the next business day.  You should look up “funds availability” for your specific bank and it should answer your question.  Or you can call the bank.  No one here can answer that for you.
