- Wedding: April 2011
Hello Bees! I am in need of your help again!
I am originally from NY, so my family will be traveling 14 hours to come to our wedding. Fiance family is from Pittsburgh so they will be traveling for close to 10 hours. We wanted to do something special for them to say Thank you for coming all that way to celebrate our day. We have decided to do a catered backyard pig pickin the day after the wedding. We thought it would be a good way to incorporate our new “southern” roots! We also wanted out of town guests to see our house and where we live. I am having trouble with how I want to word the invitation. I am creating them myself on power point. We are going to put them in with the save the dates, so our guests know to allow 2 days in North Carolina. What do you think about the following?
“Just us for food and fun, the good ole southern way” (I don’t love it.)
“Just us for fun and laughter for a happily ever after” (sounds like something the day of the wedding, not the day after.
“He popped the question, She said “Yes!”, So we’re having a celebration, Please be our guest!”
Or if you have a suggestion that sounds better- please let me know!
