That is so beautiful! A great find! It kind of reminds me of Kate Middleton’s Issa engagement dress! 🙂

That’s a beautiful dress! So classic and classy.
Have you been to a registry office wedding? I married my ex at Marylebone registry office. The ceremony was beautiful. You can write your own vows, but even if you don’t you will still have to do the “repeat after me”. There were flowers everywhere, the room was beautiful, and the registrar read the ceremony with loads of feeling. It is a proper wedding, and they treat it as such.
I wouldn’t say it’s just taking your IDs and signing.

oh yes it does! You’re right 🙂
I’ve been to some beautuful registry ceremonies. For us though it is for legal purposes. i think we had a grumpy registrar but they were very strict about the feel of the wedding and we could only have so long for readings etc and it all seemed nothing like the lovely celebration we hoped for. This combined with the fact there were so few appointments available, and we know a lovely humanist celebrant, we’ve gone this way. So our wedding day to us will be when we say our vows with family and friends involved. We will exchange our rings then too. In Scotland humanist celebrants can do the legal part, but not yet in England and wales. So it’s the registry on the Friday afternoon to say the two lines you have to say, sign (and not together that night!) and then straight to our wedding ceremony on Saturday. I’m delighted to get this cheapy dress though to do the registry bit.
