If you have a real life pic of any Bari Jay bridesmaid dress, please post or privately message. Style 557 would be awesome, but any style will do. It’s so hard to look at the models and get a sense of color and fit. If you have anything else to add about the Bari Jay dress, feel free to share.

I’m so curious to see responses, because I’m considering a crinkle chiffon Bari Jay gown for my girls!

Bari Jay style 222 I believe. The bride didn’t send/post any professional pics, so this is the best I have from a crappy camera. I will tell you they run at least a size big, but are comfy. Color is eggplant which is a deep purple and was beautiful.

@MadTownGirl: Thanks for posting–very helpful. Did the dresses have pockets?
I’m also interested in the the size question, as I was told to order FIVE (count it) sizes more than my street size.

@TwoOneFive: these pics are from when I went dress shopping with my BMs. One of my BMs will be wearing style 866 but in the blush colour as in style 702. The other will be in 864 but in full yellow rather than with the two-tone top as it is the pic.
Style 866 (crinkle chiffon). We’ll be ordering in the Blush colour as in the next pic
Style 702 (crinkle chiffon). Tried this Bar Jay dress just for the colour as we’ll be ordering style 866 in this colour
Stock photo of what style 866 will look like in Blush
Style 864 (Bella Chiffon). Excuse the weird looking top, the sample was too tight:) We’ll be ordering this in solid yellow as opposed to the two-tone on the sample dress

We are going with 650… hoping someone posts.
@TwoOneFive: Can you order sample fabric?
@TwoOneFive: Yes, dresses had pockets. All the girls seemed to like them.
Going off their size chart, I should’ve ordered a 6 due to one of my measurements. However, I know I do not wear a 6 (normally I wear a 2) so I ordered the 4. The 4 was “at least 1.5 sizes too big” according to a seamstress who actually sent me to someone else because she didn’t think she could reconstruct the dress down and keep the same look as the others.
Here’s the thing…I’m 5’3″ and about 115lbs and flat as a board (size A, maybe small B cups). So, if you’re not chesty, then I’d suggest ordering around your normal size. If you are chesty or very hippy, then I’d order only 1-2 sizes up. I wouldn’t order more than 2 sizes up. I’ve been in 4 weddings now and always ordered either my normal size or 1 size up and still had to have all the dresses altered down. Only 1 was Bari Jay, though, and all the girls said it ran big for them.
