I don’t know your area but I have a suggestion: we’re having our caterer provide us with an extra waiter (for an extra charge per hour) to bartend for us.  We’re doing a diy bar so it will be simple drinks and stuff (no fancy mixes).  

I also find that small mom and pop type bakeries are cheaper.  My 4 tiered cake will be costing me about $100-120 froma small family owned bakery in my town..

Your caterer can also do a basic sheet cake for you and and you and the groom can just cut into a smaller display cake. It will taste the same and it’s a lot cheaper. You can also get your cake at the grocery store.

For a bartender, if you’re not using a caterer you can just ask your local favorite bar if there’s someone you know and like.

I’m using Tabitha Ballard We are paying right over 250 for my cake and a grooms cake, she is great !
