I think it gets the job done… If you wanted to word it differently, I have seen people use cute sayings or a little poem… I don’t know any off the top of my head but I’ll search for some… Also, I don’t think any wording is really necessary if you didn’t find wording you liked. People should know what it’s for.

    Here is one:

So happy you are here to share in our special day

But should something happen to go astray,

Please help yourself to the contents within,

Wet wipes, hand lotion and even aspirin.

Use only what you need and leave the rest,

It may also be useful to another guest.

So repair the damage that may have been done,

Then hurry on back and join in the fun!

     Compliments of the Newlyweds!

I’ve seen other baskets that said, “Please take what you need, but need what you take.”

We used this which i got from another bride on weddingbee:

“fix your hem, or tie up your hair

freshen your  breath or mend a tear

this basket holds the kitchen sink and more

so use what you need and get back on the dance floor!”

for the men it was “fix your cuff or smooth your hair”

@soonerpsych – I definitely know what you mean.  I’ve been trying to figure out some simple but non-harsh wording for my baskets as well.

So far … all I’ve come up with is:

Thank you for sharing in our wedding day.  We hope you find these items helpful.  Please use as needed.  Compliments of (our names).

I’m not totally in love with it – but it’s short and to the point – without specifically telling guests to save some for others (ie: don’t swipe it all!!)

I don’t get it, are you worried someone is going to raid the basket and take all the stuff?  Who would do that?

    The poems are cute!

    We used:

    Compliments of the newlyweds

to help you feel your best

Just use a little, freshen up

    And leave for other guests.
