What should you put in the bathroom baskets for the reception?
Do you put one in the girls and guys washrooms?
What should you put in each?
This is what I have so far…
Small sewing kit
Tampons (girls of course)

I’ve never even heard of these… are they common? I haven’t seen one at any reception I’ve been to. Cute idea though!

I think they’re pretty common if you have a private bathroom… our reception is in the basement of the hotel where very few guests would go so it will be all our guests using the bathrooms so it’s nice to put stuff in that they could use.

Thanks for the ideas!
I just told Fiance what I wanted to do… and he said “don’t put on in the guys bathroom, it won’t get touched” and he said that most of our guests will be staying in the hotel so they could just go up to their rooms…
What do you girls think? Is he right?

@Sulli–oh gosh girl I hope your bathrooms are private. There are so many nice gestures to do in your guests restrooms! And I have to say, when I’ve attended weddings I’ve either used each of those things on the list, or wished i had each of those things.

@Sunshine—um, I don’t know how right he is. I guess it depends on the men you’re inviting. I think it’s a nice inexpensive gesture. If it doesnt get used, you take it home with you! No harm done.

Hi there, i would go to a doller store and stock up on some white face washers and roll them like cigars and place them in a container near soaps etc, just a touch of luxury to dry your hands after washing using fabric instead of paper. then provide a nice waste basket beloe for the used one to be put in once used. you could even wash then in a linen water first and have them smelling really nice also

i was going to post the wiki about it, but misspug beat me to the punch! =)
i did bathroom baskets and included the following for both:
- wisp disposable toothbrushes (about four in each)
- Wet Ones wet naps
- facial tissue
- Bath & Body works foam hand sanitizer
- Mini first aid kit (included band aids, gauze, first aid ointment)
- Lint Roller
- Shout! wipes
And then, for girls: sanitary napkins and a small body spray (I bought the Designer Imposters’ version of Clinique’s Happy) and the guys got a small AXE body spray.

@Sunshine – our guys’ one was actually more well utilized! Especially the lint roller!!

Great ideas!! Another idea — any items specific to your venue. For example, my wedding & reception are outdoors, so I’ll include some bug spray, maybe sunscreen (altho it’s evening). For a beachy venue maybe little sunscreen lipbalms, etc. I’m also going to upgrading the soap, handtowels and lotion that the venue bathroom offers since it’s a super basic bathroom (has a public park vibe, wedding is in a garden). Have fun!!

Also I would add bobby pins and some lotion. I love courtesy baskets!!
