How much natural light do you get, any?  I would say the dark unless you think it would make the room too dark.  It just seems more cohesive.

Also, I LOVE the vanity and mirror, they are beautiful!!!

I’d personally do white. I think it will pair well with the light green walls and lighen the room up a bit, which will make it feel bigger.

I think that if you do dark vanity and dark mirror and then white (I’m assuming) toilet with white cabinet on top of it your bathroom is going to look checkered!!

    I mean…. unless that’s what you’re going for ๐Ÿ˜‰

P.S. Awesome Pinterest board!  I like the “Maine Shore” paint, the darker green ๐Ÿ™‚

Do you need the cabinet over the toilet? My daughter has the same layout as you but on the opposite side, and they just redid their bathroom too. They had a white cabinet before, but opted not to rehang it as it closed in the room too much once everything was redone. It looks much bigger without it.

I’ll be back with some pictures of before and after.

I’d go with the dark.  My mom just remodeled her bathrooms, and one of them is all in dark wood like that with honeydew green walls, and its gorgeous!

if its on the wall, i feel like white is less intrusive, like in your face! though black is very modern and pretty too! i voted white!

How high of quality are those cabinets? Are they Home Depot finds that are particle board? If they aren’t solid wood, i’d say probably not worth cutting into to replace with frosted glass because the material may crumble/not hold up. Better to have it looking good intact than looking bad cut up, and not be able to afford to replace them again!

Neither?  I think in a small bathroom the floating over the toilet cabinet seems very impossing and closes the space in, making it even smaller and darker.  I would keep things light and open with maybe a small floating shelf.

Here’s her before and after pictures. Much better without, so shelves sound good if you need them.

I vote for floating glass shelves.

@abbyful:  Yeh..they did a nice job, but it was a lot of work and their only bathroom. He thought he could do it all in 4 days but it took almost 3 weeks.

Make sure you look around when tearing everything out. They found a metal box buried under the tub and it was filled with old bills! ๐Ÿ™‚
