    I’d go dark so it looks more co-ordinated. Otherwise, I like the shelf + baskets idea (then you can always change the baskets / linen liners easily to give the place a new look.

    I agree with the new idea of not using a cabinet at all…  What about dark baskets?

    This is my someday bathroom – and that mirror is perfect (id have to paint it, but thats no big deal)

    i would go without, if you don’t really need it.  i do like the idea of floating shelves.  if you do need it, i’d go with dark.  also, if you want glass doors, just buy a unit with glass doors.  they are available so why not?

    Units with the glass doors tend to be more expensive, and it’s an easy overhaul. I’d recommend acrylic panels, though, for weight. Depending on the unit, it can ruin the integrity to cut them out, or they can practically be tapped out with a fingernail. I like the floating shelves/basket idea even better, though.
