You need to provide a restroom. You also likely need to contact the city for a permit.

You definitely need to rent some sort of restroom.  I’d recommend going as nice as you can afford, because, to be perfectly honest, I find the port-a-potties disgusting.  And if you to do the port-a-potty, make sure to rent the sink!!

I think you need to provide a restroom but I think a port a pottie is totally fine. While port a pots can be really gross after 6 hours at a concert/festival/whatever, when you order one they come nice and clean. Especially if you get the kind that flushes and has a sink. That’s what we’re doing for our wedding!

They run to about $1200 for the trailer restrooms but they usually have 2-3 bathrooms per, which is basically saying $400 per restroom (portas are usually about $200 each w/o delivery), but you have running water and a sink.

definitely do the mobile restroom! no one wants to use a port-a-potty. it would definitely be worth the extra $$ and your guests would appreciate it!

We had our tented reception on the ocean. Needless to say, bathrooms were sparse! We rented 2 portapotties – we were lucky in that they were brand new and very clean. We put a cute groom cut-out for the boys, and bride cutout for the women’s.

There was a nearby cottage that the owners graciously allowed older people (mostly women) to use.

There were no complaints!

@karineh:  If it’s cheaper than that, you should definitely book!

Mobile restroom!  If I arrived at a wedding and my only option was a port-a-potty, I’d leave.

Haha yeah, I just realized that…I’ve been sick for the past couple of days, so I’m a bit dopey lol. Still, no matter what the occasion is, I’d leave because I’m terrified of port-a-potties.
