claroquesi :  yes! My mother is Puerto Rican, and my abuela LOVED them. My love for guava definitely comes from her. Hard to find a lot of guava products here in Maryland, unfortunately.

ETA – also in love with papaya πŸ˜‹

claroquesi :  they do have Goya products, but I’m used to little Spanish corner stores everywhere where I grew up. I was spoiled lol! It’s just not the same.

One think I CANNOT find here, and I’ve searched high and low for years, is aji dulce for sofrito.

claroquesi :  I’m not sure honestly! If I could get a seed I’d definitely try it, like in the summer

I want to be an extreme couponer so bad. But I’m also the type of person who wants to punch someone in the throat if they take too long to pay at the register

  • Wedding: October 2017

I made BBQ sauce for my wedding favour and the guests loved it. I even had people ask me to make them some more. I wanted to give out something that I wouldnt’ mind having a ton leftover. I wouldn’t want a ton of key shaped openers, candles, picture frames, etc. hanging around.

BMoreBecc :  If you can’t find the seeds, let me know. The absence of ají dulce is a sad thing!
