Wow! Good reminder…I never post pictures but I’m sure there are some who do that don’t realize this happens!

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the “pin it” option straight from WB. I’ve seen and recognized Bees’ rings floating around on Pinterest… it’s kind of unsettling.

Ugh, that is creepy and I never realized that the pin it button will link the pic back to your account like that is someone else pins it! …makes me think about deleting some of my pics. I wish they’d just get rid of the pin it option. Anyone know if there’s an easy way to find out if any of your pics have been pinned on there?

You can do the “Pinning” with ANY photo, anywhere on the Internet, including Facebook. If you truly want things to be private, you can’t post them anywhere.

@hisprettygirl:  My issue isn’t with wanting the pics to be private, it’s with it not being so easy for people to find my account here on Weddingbee, I know I post some pretty personal stuff that I wouldn’t want any of my friends with a Pinterest to be able to find.

@hisprettygirl: Yep. Regardless of the “pin it” here on WB, anyone with the pin it bookmark installed can pin anything. It doesn’t matter.

@hisprettygirl:  You can’t pin directly from Facebook. You can save someone’s photo to your computer and then upload it to Pinterest, but it will just show it as a user-uploaded photo instead of linking directly back to that person’s Facebook page.

Yeah the same thing happened to me but instead it was a picture of me in my sample dress before the wedding. I actually happened to see it when it got pinned, but I was terrified someone would find it and show it to my husband before the wedding. I let him know it had made its way onto pinterest, so he was wary of it. He knew I had posted it on Weddingbee, and had no problem with that because he wasn’t going onto any wedding websites, but when it hit such a mainstream place as pinterest, I freaked. Of course, he never saw it and everything was fine, but still.

I’m definitely careful of what images I post anywhere. I’ve had the “Pin It” button on my browser toolbar for about a year, so even before Weddingbee’s tech change, it’s been really easy to pin photos from pretty much any site.

This is the reason I don’t post pictures on WB. 🙁

I have about 45 pages of photos on weddingbee. I will try to delete those that have my personal picture on them. unless you can’t see my face. But that might screw up some threads that the picture is posted on, sometimes without the picture as a visual aid, my post will make no sense… oh well! Most of them are uploaded from the internet anyways, such as cartoons, memes…
