LOL went to have a meeting with my florist today to pick the flowers etc and I was showing her pictures of some of the DIY projects I have done for the wedding and I decided to show her this picture and asked if she wanted any of these for the wedding
She fell in love
and wants THIRTY of them for the ceremony to line the aisle
Guess who will be punching out a whole lotta flowers this weekend and a few weekends to come!!!

Oh. my. gosh. How unique and beautiful. If you don’t write out a tutorial, I’ll be coming up with my own copy! 🙂

@unixfairy: Ha Ha! lol. Your wedding will be fabulous! I look forward to recaps/photos.

I made these for my wedding too. I’m using them to line the aisle. They’re super easy to make- I followed these instructions:
Tutorial: How to Make a Pomander Flower Ball
I used two different size balls and I varied the colors on the balls. One set of balls have three different shades of yellow and the other has three different shades of grey.

@Gusgus: Thanks for posting this – that is the link I used as well – they are adorable – did you find a place to get the pins cheap?
We got them on amazon. It was 340 pins per package for around $5. That was the cheapest we found- they weren’t the fanciest but they got the job done 🙂 I also got the paper at one of Michael’s clearance sales for 10 cents a sheet. The most expensive part for me was the styrofoam balls.
I’m so happy with how they turned out. Everyone I’ve shown them to here wants them too.

@Gusgus: Yeah I might try and sell mine after the wedding not to recoup the money so much but to save some other poor bride the trouble of doing them but they are really special looking 🙂
